Perch Princes Park cafe is open and accessible

Perch Princes Park is the new name for the cafe in Princes Park which opened last week. The previous name was The Boathouse.

The cafe is fully accessible offering indoors and outside tables. Take a look at their website for more details about booking and Covid-19 restrictions or keep up to date on their facebook page.

This cafe overlooks the lake. The park has good pathways around it for wheelchairs, walkers and children’s prams and buggies. There are two children play areas, grass areas for picnics and games. Rose garden and other flower beds.

The public toilets including an accessible toilet and baby changing facilities can be found at the side of the cafe.

Best parking is in Fort Fun car park which has some blue badge spaces otherwise charges apply to non blue badge holders, there is a zebra crossing leading into the park from the car park. You may find some roadside parking on Royal Parade and Channel View Road.

The park also has an adjacent field which is used for events at times otherwise can be used by the public.
