Can You Help Us?
Would you like to help our group make Eastbourne more accessible for all?
We are looking for people to help expand our group and the work we do in Eastbourne.
It does not matter what time you can spare each week/month you can make a difference and there is something you can help us with.
We value people’s opinions, experiences and contributions. You do not have to have a disability just an interest and passion for the work we do.
We also welcome representatives from other organisations /groups to strengthen our group and address access issues affecting a wide range of disabilities/impairments in Eastbourne.
You are welcome to attend our monthly meetings on the 4th Wednesday of the month at St Saviours Church Hall, South Street, Eastbourne. BN21 4UT, 10 am to 12 noon and get involved in the group’s activities in promotion of the work the group does by attend events/displays/meetings, plus projects and campaigns the group undertakes at various times.
Perhaps you cannot spare time every month but would like to help distribute the Access Guide around town every 2 or 3 months to local locations including libraries, community centres, CAB, mobility shops etc. On a sunny morning a pleasant walk to several venues can get a lot of guides distributed for us.
Do you like talking to people? Perhaps you can help out at a display stand / event. Or just be willing to take part in our projects at various times. Our Access Guide and internet information has to be checked and updated at least twice a year.
If you are interested in joining or helping the Group, or would just like to have a chat to explore what you could do, please contact the Chairman, Ian Westgate by phone 0781 0317 185 or email email@example.com
Working together can help make a difference.
We look forward to hearing from you.
